Any bonafide person who wants to do International trade and send goods to other countries has to apply for Export license. He has to apply for IEC Import and Export code. This IEC contains 10 digit code and issued by Director General of foreign trade, department of commerce, government of India. This application form can be filled online on DGFT website. In case the export license is lost or destroyed for any reasons, then a duplicate application form can be filled by paying Rs.200 in the form of DD to DGFT.
