Sir, I have to transfer my money in NRO account from India to Canada. Bank asks for 15CA & 15CB forms. Money I received form the sale of my resident home in India. As per new rules, considering its fair market value in year 2001 & its sale price in 2018, I have not to pay any long term capital gain tax on it. So no TDS was deducted by the purchaser. Question is even though there is no tax payable on it, is TDS mandatory? If I submit 15CA & 15CB forms to Income Tax dept can they ask to pay TDS first and to claim for refund afterwards?
