Compared to other <strong>professional courses<\/strong>, CA also takes almost the same time, provided a person clears all the exams in the first attempt itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are thinking about <strong>becoming a Chartered Accountant<\/strong> after 12<sup>th<\/sup> then this post provides all sort of information that you are required to know to have a clear road ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Understanding ICAI<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or ICAI is the\nprofessional accounting body of India which regulates this profession. It is\nnot just the regulating authority but also the licensing body for CAs in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility for Becoming a CA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are two kinds of eligibility criteria for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.club4ca.com\/formats\/accounts\/how-to-become-a-chartered-accountant-in-india\/\">becoming a Chartered Accountant in India<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You have to be a Commerce graduate or post\ngraduate or any other graduate or post graduate with a minimum percentage of 55\nor 60 respectively.<\/li><li>You have cleared intermediate level exam of\nICWAI or ICSI.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedure for Becoming a CA After Completing 12<sup>th<\/sup><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you seriously want to pursue the course of <strong>Chartered Accountancy in India<\/strong> then here are the steps to follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>After Clearing 10<\/strong><sup><strong>th<\/strong><\/sup><strong>: Start CA via CPT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Just after passing 10<sup>th<\/sup> exams,\nregister with ICAI and enroll for CPT i.e. Common Proficiency Test.<\/li><li>This exam is conducted after taking 12<sup>th<\/sup>\nstandard exams.<\/li><li>CPT is conducted twice every year i.e. in the\nmonth of June and December.<\/li><li>There are 4 subjects at this stage.<\/li><li>The course is similar to what you study in 10<sup>th<\/sup>\nand 12<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/li><li>50% score is needed to clear CPT<\/li><li>There is negative marking for every wrong\nanswer.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proceed with IPCC<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Integrated Professional Competence Course is the next target\nto achieve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To be able to register for IPCC, passing in 12<sup>th<\/sup>\nexam and CPT is a must.<\/li><li>Registration for the same has to be done 9\nmonths prior to the date of examination.<\/li><li>There are 7 subjects at this stage.<\/li><li>The course is very vast and it is a difficult stage\nto clear.<\/li><li>There are two groups of subjects.
